Covering 14,443 square kilometers, Nordaustlandet is home to the third-largest glacier in the world, tucked away in the remote northeast corner of the Svalbard Archipelago. Visiting this icy giant has been a longtime dream of mine, sparked by images of its towering walls of ancient ice, shaped over thousands of years. At certain times of year, waterfalls cascade down its frozen face, adding even more awe to an already breathtaking sight. Being there in person was nothing short of surreal.
